Neck Length

A kayak trailer with gear storage. Each tongue length option allows for different length kayaks or canoes to be mounted onto your SPACE bars. The SPACE Trailer canopy can easily open when kayaks or canoes are mounted on top. Depending on the size of your kayak or canoe rack, multiple kayaks and/or canoes can be mounted on top of your trailer depending on SPACE Bar width. Spare tires are typically mounted on the tongue.

The 6500 Standard Tongue is 11 feet in length with a 4-foot tongue in front of box. The 6500 Standard Tongue can haul up to a 10-foot kayak. With the standard tongue, you have 44 inches of cable wire to connect to your vehicle.

The 6500 Longneck Tongue is 12.5 feet in length with a 5.5-foot tongue in front of box and can haul up to a 15-foot kayak. With the long tongue, you have 28 inches of cable wire to connect to your vehicle.

The 6500 Longneck XL is 13.5 feet in length with a 6.5-foot tongue in front of box and can haul up to an 18-foot kayak! With the XL tongue, you have 14 inches of cable wire to connect to your vehicle. (You may need a wire extender to connect the lightening to your vehicle with the XL tongue.
