What Wheel Size Do I Need on my SPACE Trailer?

We often get the question: “What wheel size do I need on my SPACE Trailer?” Long story short, the answer is that it is a personal preference. There really is no advantage to buying one over the other! But, here is everything you need to know on wheel sizes to help you pick the one that would work best for you.

Two Wheel Sizes

Here at SPACE Trailers, we’ve got two different wheel sizes to choose from. The first is a 13” option, and the second is a 15” option. Both wheel sizes have the option to buy them in either black or aluminum styles. On a side note, it is important to state that there is no difference between the aluminum and black wheels! The reason there are two style options is only due to aesthetics. Some people prefer the look to aluminum wheels over black wheels, and vice versa.

Both Highway Rated to 80 MPH

We’ve had customers ask in the past about what tires are better for highway use. Both the 13” and 15” options are highway rated to 80 miles per hour. One option isn’t better than another. They both perform the same!

They Play Into Tongue Height

Probably the most important aspect of the tires, is that they help determine tongue height. What we mean by this, is that it will affect how high off the ground the tongue of your trailer is. Of course, if you get a larger wheel, the tongue will be higher off the ground. This can play into your decision on whether you would want a Lowrider or a Highrider. You can view our spec sheet to see what trailer combination would work best for your vehicle. As you can see, the main driving factor (no pun intended) behind the tires is due to personal preference. So, if you ever think to yourself “What wheel size do I need on my SPACE Trailer?” you will know more on what the right decision for you is. Of course, if you have any questions or would like to talk to someone about what wheels you should get, you are more than welcome to call us!
